Communication, and Team Performance Within Virtual Teams

Virtual teams have become a cost-saving strategy for global collaboration and training, but trust and communication failures decrease overall performance. Business leaders who fail to understand the relationship between organizational trust, communication, and team performance undermine global virtual teams’ full potential.  

 

Dr. Session collected data from 48 virtual IT business leaders who work in the Washington, D.C. metro area. The study results concluded a significant relationship between organizational trust, communication, and team performance within virtual teams.
